Block printing is one of the most accessible, simple, and oldest forms of print-making. Taught by local surface pattern designer Skye McNeill of Orozco Studio, students will take their ideas from sketch to printed textile. Starting with an overview of materials, tools, and carving techniques, students will then learn about developing a block-friendly motif, print repeats and placements, and troubleshooting techniques. Each student will receive a half yard of muslin for practice and 2 tea towels to print their designs on and take home. Geared towards beginners, but open to all experience levels.
Come early and shop! Students will receive a 10% off discount on purchases made the day of class.
Ticket price includes all the materials and supplies that will be used in class.
